Melania worked with a group of Stakeholders from across the company to strategize, organize and execute a two-day company event. To ensure this event was a success, the collaboration of all committee members was needed, however the coordination of all these tasks was led by Melania as she naturally took on the role.

Melania put her project management skills to work immediately by taking charge, setting up recurring meetings and taking meeting minutes. She became the meeting facilitator, keeping the agendas flowing, holding individuals accountable for their assigned tasks, recapping assignments and tasks prior to the end of the meeting and providing perspective and insightful ideas towards achieving our goals. She also worked outside of business hours to actively be a part of setting up the engagement day site, working directly with the external facilitator as a guide and being a point person throughout the event to ensure the program flowed effectively. A great deal of the event’s success can be attributed to Melania’s actions as a leader and involved participant on the committee.
